Alchemy Translations

Objective: You will be provided with audios, machine transcripts and translations. The machine transcripts are only for your reference, please listen to the audios so that you can know whether the translations are correct and complete. You will need to score the translations based on the following criteria.

Please make sure you read these guidelines before beginning the work.

Important points! (please go through the entire guideline, these are only a few points from the entire client instructions). Please find attached.

• Audio transcript is only for your reference, it could be incorrect! Please listen to the audio to decide its score.
• Translations don’t have to be the word for word translations of the audios, but the meaning conveyed needs to be exactly the same as the audios. For example, if the audio is “你俩认识吗？” (do you know each other?), then it’s correct that the translation is “He knows you?”
  
• Background sounds don’t need to be translated. For example, if the audio is of two people talking and there is a dog barking in the background, the dog barking does not need to be transcribed, nor does it need to be translated as barking or woof.
  
• Filler words should be retained (even if repeated) and localized into the target language. There’s no requirement for the expression, for example ‘ahhhh’ could be ‘ahh’ or ‘ahhh’, as long as the meaning is conveyed and consistent.

The project is ready on Oneforma.Please log in to your account to work on it.

Once log in Oneforma, you need to find the corresponding webapp named Wukong Penglai Localization Audio Evaluation, and click “Actions” > “START”

• Click the ‘play’ button and listen to the audio. You can click the corresponding buttons to stop or pause, and you can drag the progress bar to listen back. If you feel it’s unclear, you can slow the speed.
  

Please check if the audio has the following issues:

• The audio is unclear and difficult to determine correctness – because it is too noisy or blurry to hear clearly.
  
• It’s wrong language in source – please note that, the audio could contain some foreign words. Only choose this when the audio is completely not your language.
  

• Please check if the audio has multiple speakers and choose corresponding answer.
  

• Audio transcript is provided on the left side for your reference. Please note that it’s only for reference, it could be incorrect!
  
• You need to evaluate the Machine translation on the right side and score it.
  

• Please check the definitions of each point carefully and choose the correct one:
  

• After you ‘submit’ it, the system will move to the next hit automatically. Please note that, the ‘skip’ hits won’t be paid.
