ISAAC_Useful information

For human translation projects:
Please read the FULL HUMAN TRANSLATION LINGUISTICS INSTRUCTIONS here: HUMAN TRANSLATION (HT) INSTRUCTIONS v.3.1.1
For MTPE projects:
Please read the FULL MTPE TRANSLATION LINGUISTICS INSTRUCTIONS here: MACHINE TRANSLATION POSTEDITING (MTPE) TRANSLATION v.3.1

Language specific style and conventions:
https://nm.oho2.com/s/A6yCLDZapjc2Mcz

Since the files are so big, you will be working on the same file with other vendors and that is why you will see a big amount of hits.

Please work on your max capacity until deadline, as we are now working under the “first come, first served” principle.

If your changing rate is less than 70% the client can temporarily inactive your account and perform and additional QA. After the QA score comes out, if there is no problem, they will active the account again.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  1. Slang language should be localized appropriately into Target Language.
  2. Emoji should be reflected in the target translation EXACTLY as they appear in the source. I.e. If you find this: :) in the source string, you should write :) or : ) in the target. Don’t change it for :-) or =) or ;) or any other emoji. Also if you see in the source, the same should appear in the target, don’t change it for <3 :) or write (heart)(happy face). The only exception to this rule is that in your culture it is more common to use i.e. :) instead of whatever emoji you see in the source. Please don’t change emoji as per your preferences or likes.
  3. Translations should be accurate and following idiomatic and grammatical rules in Target Language.
  4. Please beware of typos and make sure you follow the spellchecker before delivering any string.

IMPORTANT: If you detect any misbehavior in the tool (i.e. spelling checker not working, slowness, emojis not present in source, source blank), please report us immediately. Your support and communication is very important for this task.

Work reports - How to estimate your work
The final number of words will be clear after the client's QA at the end of each month.
But you may estimate an approximate number of post-edited words in the following way:

  • Click on Work reports above

  • Select the appropriate Report Type e.g. > New HT Report (or MTPE Report, or other report type depending on the project) and the dates
  • You'll see the number of completed hits and words (Note: Metadata and Word number are not the same)

Translation feedback

Make sure you check your performance in “View performance”. You will find here the list of changes made by the reviewer in both Translation1 and 2, the assigned error category and the possibility to send a counterfeedback in case you disagree. Check it constantly, as the feedback is closed in 2 weeks after it appears in your account.

Make sure you learn from their own errors and that the Counterfeedback feature is used wisely and reasonably.

**The task required certification. So please let your resources take the online test firstly. Here attached an instruction: ISAAC - Online Test Processes
